The Mission
"The Mission" follows the story of a Spanish Jesuit priest, Father Gabriel, who establishes a mission in 18th century South America to convert the indigenous people. Conflict arises when the Portuguese government threatens to destroy the mission, leading to a struggle between the priest and a mercenary turned Jesuit, Rodrigo, over whether to resist or to uphold non-violence.
