Spider-Man

The 2002 movie "Spider-Man" follows the story of Peter Parker, a high school student who gains spider-like abilities after being bitten by a genetically-altered spider. He uses his newfound powers to fight crime and protect the city as the superhero Spider-Man. The film explores Peter's struggles with his dual identity and his relationships with those around him, including his love interest Mary Jane Watson and his best friend Harry Osborn. Directed by Sam Raimi, "Spider-Man" is the first installment in a trilogy of films starring Tobey Maguire as the titular character.
