Sleeping Beauty

In Disney's 1959 film "Sleeping Beauty," Princess Aurora is cursed by the evil Maleficent to prick her finger on a spindle and fall into a deep sleep on her 16th birthday. To protect Aurora, the good fairies Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather raise her in hiding as Briar Rose. Despite their efforts, Aurora's destiny unfolds as she pricks her finger and falls into a deep sleep. The story follows Prince Phillip as he battles Maleficent to awaken Aurora with true love's kiss.
