
Jarhead
"Jarhead" is a 2005 war film directed by Sam Mendes, based on the memoir of the same name by Anthony Swofford. The movie follows a young recruit as he goes through intense training to become a U.S. Marine sniper and is deployed to the Gulf War in 1991. It explores the psychological effects of war on soldiers and the challenges they face on the battlefield.
