
Gran Torino
In "Gran Torino," retired Korean War veteran Walt Kowalski is a grumpy and racist widower living in a changing neighborhood. When his Hmong neighbors, a teenage boy named Thao and his family, face gang violence, Walt reluctantly becomes their protector. Through his interactions with the Hmong family, Walt learns about empathy, forgiveness, and personal redemption. The film explores themes of cultural differences, friendship, and confronting one's prejudices.
