East Timor

East Timor, officially known as Timor-Leste, is a small Southeast Asian nation located on the eastern half of the island of Timor, sharing the island with Indonesia. It is situated in the Lesser Sunda Islands at the eastern end of the Indonesian archipelago, with the Timor Sea to its south and the Banda Sea to the north. The country also includes the nearby islands of Atauro and Jaco, as well as the Oecusse exclave on the western part of the island, which is entirely surrounded by Indonesian territory.
